MongoDB point-in-time backups

SimpleBackups allows you to create MongoDB point-in-time backups by capturing incoming write operations during the database dump process to ensure that the backups reflect a consistent data state.

This is very useful for constantly changing databases that include a lot and frequent write operations. You can enable this option on SimpleBackups to create a point-in-time snapshot of one of your databases within a replica set. Under the hood it will copy all the data from the source database as well as all of the oplog entries from the beginning to the end of the backup procedure. Giving you the option later to restore a backup that reflects the specific moment in time that corresponds to when your MongoDB backup was completed.
